ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
organrecitals.com was established on 28 January, 2004, and is owned, designed, and maintained by Stephen D. Smith. Very special thanks go to Stephen Walmsley (programming advice and technical support) and Calum Mackay (network services and technical support), without whom the site would not exist in its present form. Gratitude is also due to the many people who e-mail concert details to organrecitals.com [Information is occasionally copied from other websites but there simply isn't time to regularly check the hundreds of sites belonging to organists, organ societies, churches, etc. So, to ensure your concerts appear on the site, please submit their details via the Frequently Asked Questions.]
Philosophy
The Recital Diary is a service, not a business, that takes pride in its appearance and in the accuracy of its information, although it's freely admitted that such a huge volume is likely to contain some errors. It seeks to provide comprehensive concert listings - together with stop lists, maps, and other useful material - in an attractive and user-friendly format. Hopefully, the free advertising and equal billing for the famous and the lesser-known will be beneficial to all concerned.
