Jonathan Kingston studied the organ with Professor Ian Tracey of Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, home to one of the largest pipe organs in the world. He was appointed Organ Scholar, and subsequently Sub-Organist to Bradford Cathedral before securing Assistant Director and Director of Music positions at two leading independent schools. He is currently Associate Director of Music at the Ordinariate Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Piccadilly.
A recording artist on both the Naxos and Priory labels, Jonathan has broadcasted as soloist live on BBC TV and Radio. He has been fortunate to give recitals in many Cathedrals and churches in this country and abroad, and appeared with several orchestras including The Halle, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra and English Symphony Orchestra. Jonathan currently combines a career as a freelance performer, music agent, consultant, and International and UK examiner for ABRSM. This season's work includes a DVD recording for Viscount Organs, recitals at Leeds Town Hall, Caird Hall Dundee and Stowe School, an examining tour to Malaysia in the Summer and competition adjudications at The John Lyon School and City of London School and King's School, Ely. He plays for John Rutter in May at a London RSCM event.
